The night shift

You didn't start a brand to become its night shift.

It's 11pm. The ads have been running the same five creatives for three months and the cost per result has crept up every week. The agency you pay $6K a month sent a report with a chart on it and a junior's name at the bottom. The abandoned-cart flow is still the one you half-built in a weekend two years ago. And tomorrow you get to do your actual job.

We know that night because we lived it, on brands we owned, with our own money in the ad account. So we built the thing we wanted to buy and couldn't: an engine that drafts ads by the hundred, scores them before they cost a dollar, watches every campaign daily, builds the pages, writes the emails, and reports in plain English. Then we ran our own store to $100K in a day on it.

CRANK 11 is that engine, run by the two people who built it, plugged into your business. You keep the decisions. We take the hours.

    Audit

    24 hours

We read your account, your site and your best ads. You get the gaps, a 30-day plan and the first free creatives. Free, and yours to keep.

  2. 02

    Build

    week one

Tracking fixed. Structure rebuilt. Pages, flows and the first creative batch live. Every change written down in plain English.

  3. 03

    Scale

    every week

New creative in, losers out, budget to the winners. A weekly report you can read in four minutes, and a two-hour answer to any message.

Approve. Steer. Decide.

The systems draft, score and watch around the clock. Nothing spends, sends or ships without a person saying yes, and that person is you or one of us. The judgment calls stay yours. That is the point.

The dream company

A company run by systems. Two founders who only approve.

That is the end state we are building toward, on our own business first. Here is how far it has got.

72 % of our own operation runs on systems today · target 100 % Founders' own estimate · self-reported

Where the 72 % is today

  • Ads

Drafted by the hundred, scored before they spend, watched every day.

  • Research and reporting

Briefs, teardowns and the weekly report are written before we read them.

  • Follow-ups and quotes

Every reply, reminder and quote is drafted and queued. We press send.

The last 28 %

Building more tools. Reviewing every AI output before it ships. The judgment calls.

Who is actually behind this

Two founders who got tired of being the business.

We came at this from opposite ends and arrived at the same place. We didn't build systems because we're clever. We built them because headcount stopped working.

The confession.

From the desk of: Jack, co-founder of CRANK 11 Re: the ten years before this page

2am, the night before the biggest promotion of our year, and I'm at the desk making decisions worth thousands with a brain that clocked off hours ago. If you run a store, you know that night. The supplier email at midnight, because Shenzhen wakes up when you should be asleep. If you run lead gen, you know it too: the enquiry that came in Friday and got a reply on Monday.

Read the rest of Jack's letter

I'm allowed to say that, because it was me. Ten years running my own e-commerce brands, built past $35 million. An agency on top, running lead gen for clients. I was tired. The kind of tired where you make calls at midnight that you'd have caught at noon. We paid for a few of those.

Then, about two years ago, the floor started moving. Founders in my own circle started automating like crazy. Zapier first. Then n8n. Then real code. So we built our own. More than five thousand hours between us, building AI systems and testing them on the businesses we actually run. What we wanted didn't exist, so we set the target ourselves: $100K days with a small team. Working less. Hiring less. Actually knowing the work got done.

That engine is what runs CRANK 11 now. It ran on our brands first. Now it runs on yours.

Jack

The burnout.

From the desk of: Maxime, co-founder of CRANK 11 Re: the year a working business broke me

I built a business that worked. It nearly finished me. In 2020, a few weeks before the world shut down, I stopped being able to work. Not slowed down. Stopped. I'd sit at the desk, open the laptop, and just sit there.

Read the rest of Maxime's letter

The stupid part is that the business was working. My partner and I had built an online course company around a YouTube channel. 160,000 subscribers. 200 courses. From the outside, we'd made it. From the inside, a week was a video every two days, which means filming, which means having a face that works that day. Then it broke. I saw a psychologist, which helped. My partner picked up everything I dropped.

I wasn't a beginner who bit off too much. While all this was running I'd also co-built a mobile gaming studio and managed a team of seventy. I have ADHD. I've never had a shortage of ideas. What I've had a shortage of, my whole life, is hands.

What's different now? I don't need a copywriter any more. I don't need a designer for a mockup. I sit down alone and do things that used to take three people and a week. That's the engine. And the reason it exists is a rule I've kept since I lost two friends before any of us turned 23: one of them didn't get a life, so mine doesn't get wasted at a desk at 11pm.

FAQ

The honest questions.

What is 500k.io, and what is CRANK 11?

CRANK 11 is the growth agency Jack and Max run: Meta and Google ads, creative, email, funnels and stores, done for you. 500k.io is where we document our journey to $500K MRR: what the engine teaches us, the numbers, the failures, every week. Same two people, same engine.

What does the free audit actually contain?

A read of your account and your site, the gaps we found, a set of free ads made for your brand, and a 30-day plan. It lands within 24 hours of your application and it is yours to keep whether or not you ever work with us.

Who is this for?

Founders of e-commerce and DTC brands with orders already moving, and lead-gen businesses with real spend. If you are still looking for a first product, keep your money and read the journal instead.

What does it cost?

Each lane is priced on its own and quoted after the audit, because a $5K account and a $100K account are not the same job. Ads management makes sense from about $8K a month in spend. Creative and funnels can start smaller.

Is the work done by AI?

The volume is. The judgment is not. Our systems draft ads, score creative and watch numbers around the clock. A person decides what ships, what scales and what gets cut, and that person is one of us.

Do you lock clients into a contract?

Month to month. If your numbers are not moving, you should be free to leave, and you are.

Who will actually work on my account?

Jack and Max. No account gets passed to a junior after the sales call, because there are no juniors.

Why should I trust your numbers?

Because they are ours and we label them. The $100K day is a screenshot of our own Shopify admin. The client case is a real account, named only under confidentiality. Anything self-reported says so next to it.
